Sesame Crackers
Crackers are surprisingly easy to make.
You will save a fortune making your own, and there are plenty of great seeded cracker recipes but these I find particularly easy.
The recipe is from The Real Meal Revolution blue cookbook, both their red & blue books are a must-have in any kitchen.
INGREDIENTS
150g / 1½ cups almond flour
70g / ½ cup sesame seeds
1 medium egg
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 180°c
Line a flat baking sheet with baking paper.
In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together.
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredient and add the egg and olive oil.
Mix with a fork until a dough forms.
Break the dough into two balls.
Place one ball between two sheets of baking paper.
Use a rolling pin on top of the sheet of baking paper so the dough won’t stick to the rolling pin.
Roll the dough out until about 2-3mm thick.
Remove the top layer of paper and use a cookie cutter to cut into the desired shape or use a sharp knife to cut them rectangle or square.
Place onto the lined baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes until crackers are golden.
Repeat with the other half of the dough.
Cool then serve or store in an airtight container.
